[Homeroast] Gene Cafe question

Someone at SM recommends 482 up to first crack, then  set it at a lower temp. I turn it down to 456 until cooling. My roast times vary from 15 to 19 minutes. 
I roast 1/2 pound bathes to city up to full city+.
