[Homeroast] This sounds reasonable - chill the beans before grinding

The paper was more about the particle size of the ground coffee when cold, not the effects of storage. There is a statement in the original paper to the effect of "taste is not the subject of this paper".

The effect on particle size was there but pretty small. Probably not worth going through the effort needed at home. They also used a large Mahlkoenig grinder known for a nice narrow particle size range. Not sure the effect would be repeatable with a lesser grinder.
