[Homeroast] Homeroast Digest, Vol 90, Issue 2

The current fuss about ways of enjoying Gesha reminds me that the search
for Coffee Nirvana isn't really a solitary path, as one of our wisest
argues. Most of us Sweet Maria's customers confine our search to Arabicas,
and we are in it together. However, across the globe there are groups of
equally epicurean spirits defining good coffee differently. Louisiana
Cajuns like to add chicory and a touch of robusta. French Ministers of
Culture would end their dying dinner with charred coffee. Refugees from
Viet Nam make coffee-flavored desserts using coffee mixtures in which
arabica isn't even primary among several "coffees." Greek/Turkish "coffee"
offers a hugely different Nirvana. Hmmmmn.
