Used a soak with Oxiclean overnight (about 2 tbls), rinse well in the AM and
you are good to go

I've done a soak with hot water & urnex before to clean my Chemex. Works
well. But, if you don't have Urnex, I would bet Lynne's suggestion would do
the trick.
