[Homeroast] unable to place order via SM shopping cart

I believe the saying is PEBCAK. That stands for Problem Exists Between
Chair And Keyboard. I am guilty too much of this issue and I'm in the
computer industry. DOH!!!

Been meaning to update. I took Alchemist's advice and downloaded and
installed Icedragon. Using that browser had no problem at all with the SM
shopping cart. But the website was new and different.
Then I went back to FF, entered the address of the NEW SM website, and had
no trouble with the shopping cart with that browser. Realized that my old FF
bookmark had been taking me to the OLD SM website, which let me load my
shopping cart, but go no further.

This happens to me frequently using my computer, whereby I materialize in a
parallel universe where everything seems familiar yet nothing works as
expected...

Hello Everyone,
We recently added 2 new coffees. We hope you enjoy them.

Sumatra Lintong 17+ Toba
Batak<http://www.sweetmarias.com/store/coffee-list/indonesia-and-asia/sumatr
a/sumatra-lintong-17-toba-batak.html>is
a syrupy sweet cup, with flavors of brown rice syrup, wild berry, and fresh
herbs. It's one of the sweeter Lintong coffees we've tasted so far, and a
welcome addition to the list as we are waiting on other new arrival
Sumatras.

Yemen Mokha
Sharasi<http://www.sweetmarias.com/store/coffee-list/africa-and-arabia/yemen
/yemen-mokha-sharasi.html>showcases
earthy chocolate tones, rustic sugars, and flavors of roasted nut. It's a
syrupy bodied coffee, and a fine example of naturally processed coffee from
Yemen.

Yeah, it?s still there. Just ordered 10 pounds. The new Speedster should be
on her way soon, and this should be a very nice bean to break her in.

I find the new site works fine for me. Could use a bit of tweaking perhaps,
but has the essentials. Don't do mobile much but agree that is a current,
and growing significantly, market that many will end up at in the (nearer
for some) future.

The list of available coffees could be re-organized but it still is not
difficult to find the coffees.

I use a whirly-pop, hand crank popcorn popper, modified with a hole punched
in the lid to accept a thermometer.

I picked it all up from Sweet Maria's, which is a better place to start
than most.

Right now, I do my roasting on a gas stove in my kitchen. I've thought of
trying my camping stove in the garage, but the kitchen is so convenient and
with the windows open, not bad smoke wise this time of year.

After several years of roasting this way, I'm finally getting really,
really amazing results. (The first few years were just great results).
Now I'm looking at starting the learning curve over with a drum roaster on
a modified gas grill, but that's still kind of a fantasy for now.

Jump in! You can get going for less than $100 bucks. It's been one of my
better decisions.

I do about a half pound at a time in my Whirly. More than that, and I
think it'd struggle. I probably do around 3-5 lbs a month too. I've been
sharing a lot lately, so I might be up to 6-7 lbs a month right now.

It takes me less than 20 minutes start to finish to do a batch. If I do
two, back to back, probably half an hour.

You don't need java enabled (in fact, it's pretty reasonable to have it
disabled), but I suspect you might have JavaScript (completely different)
disabled, which you definitely do need enabled. Hope that might help.

It doesn't show up under roasting equipment but the Air Crazy is still
listed. http://www.sweetmarias.com/store/catalogsearch/result/?q=crazy It
is a cheap way to dip your toe into the water.

They used to sell them for $20 if you bought a sampler pack. I used mine
just the other day and it still works well. I did have to defeat the over
temp shutoff to get to a good roast.

Luddites Unite!

I'm right with ya on the format comments. I was weirded-out by the new
page, but I'm no lover of Win 8.1 touchiness either.

In any case, if it takes several more visits to get my neurale synapsis'
re-wired, I'm on it because it's (1) the coffee and especially (2) the
people at SM's that make this more than just another routine Amazon
purchase.

Site.
If I can't find them I can't Buy Them!

HI all,

I have been shopping at Maria's since 2007, so the visual change was a bit
disconcerting, but I think they have answered many of the complaints I had
from the previous site. I especially like being able to pull up the dry
process coffees so easily. Invariably, my favourites have always been this
type.

As a testimonial: I had 20 lbs of coffee either in my saved, or cart (can't
remember) last night, and when I went there today, both the saved and the
cart were empty. I groaned, thining it would take forever to remember what I

had and get them back in. It was the opposite. Before long I had the cart
filled and ordered. I am positive it took me less time than the old site
would have.

It would be handy to have the options on the listing page where the Add to
Cart button is. Once I have browsed through what is available, it would be
mighty quick to fill up the cart.

Well done, in my opinion.

Wendy

We are currently out of Workshop Blends and are working on adding some to
the list. I'll let everyone here know as soon as they are posted to the
site.
