I see. I always thought the higher the elevation the better quality the bean and I'd like to eventually roast a lb of homegrown (coffee) ;).

Geez, you are lower than I am!  I'm at about 900 feet ASL.  I don't 
think the altitude will prevent growing.  More the climate.
