Hey, Ed - are you OK after that insane storm(s) w/the tornadoes hit last
report in to your homeroast family know!!
Massachusetts does get tornadoes regularly, but it's not well known. One
reason is that
they are usually small, also, it's the western part of MA where they
normally hit. Unfortunately,
I'm sure that Ed can attest to the fact that the general attitude here is
that the media, government,
etc., all ignore Western MA, as though it doesn't exist. :-( Sad but true.
In keeping w/coffee related conversation, after running out of my swill - I
mean my homeroast - I
roasted some El Salvador Matalapa "El Mirador" this morning & brewed it as
usual in my little
Moka Pot. Came out pretty good, but these days drinking it immediately seems
to be better than
subsequent days. I have come to the conclusion that the very nature of this
#%*@ electric coil stove
is to automatically turn the heat on & off, resulting in a @#&*(@ roast.
I keep looking in our local little thrift store that has been so fruitful
for me in so many things *except*
coffee related items, so I'm going to pick up a heat gun asap and roast the
crap outa these beans
w/that. I prefer low tech anyway, as machines really confuse & make me feel
