I continue to be frustrated with the Behmor. This morning I roasted 340 grams of the Jimma. Roast was done on 1 pound P1 profile. At approximately 10 minutes I began opening the door to slow the roast down. I continued this through the first crack. I had approximately 60 seconds between the end of C1 and the start of C2. I held the door open for much of this time. At the first pop of C2 I hit the cool button and the fire started. Not a big fire mind you and I did successfully stop the roast. But was forced to close the door and allow the roaster to cool considerably before reopening the door. The beans look good, they appear to just at the start of Full City + I can only hope the smoke bath doesn't ruin the flavor.

The iphone app Roastmasters gets a thumbs up. It provides a very through way to manage your coffee. It includes roast profiles, inventory control, areas for notes, cupping etc. So far I am very impressed. The profile part is well suited to a manual roaster with temps and times. It produces graphs etc. All in you hand. I really like the easy way it manages inventory. I have not explored the cupping section yet.
