[Homeroast] iRoast alternative

I have been using this model for three years as a backup roaster. I use it
for anything that I want roasted into 2nd crack. It is Kitchen Gourmet Air
Popper, sells for $10 at Walgreens. I would only put 3oz of green beans in
it. Works great, depending on outside air temp. However, they do burn out
after about 200 or so roasts. But, that's well worth the cost. I'm using my
third unit now.

And if you have trouble finding a Poppery II Walgreens sells a air popper
with the "right kind of" (on the side of the chamber not the bottom) vents
for about eleven bucks, for some reason when you use it things work out
better if you take a #8 can, remove both ends and the paper label and stack
it on top of the chamber (mostly it makes things tall enough that beans
don't get blown out but chaff does.)
